RobotFramework: HttpLibrary – for working with JSON
Hi All,
Today I’ve decided to overview a small Library extension for Robot Framework. I’ve fond it very useful for working with JSON responses.
Yerevan is a history – future is a mystery
Hey,
If you’ve been following our updates you already know that we are working hard now on a ‘Xploro’ mobile app which is:
“A social geolocation marketing platform for business users to share their deals/sales/propositions & for the users who want to explore their proposals and use them.”
‘Xnovo’ goes to Yerevan …
Hi,
Today – only the good news! A new achievement for Xnovo team has been unlocked recently.
As some of you already knew – Xnovo is more than just a fancy blog and is more like a point of view or I will say: lifestyle …
‘Appium’ – presentation video from GTAC 2013
Hey,
Guess what, GTAC (Google Test Automation Conference) which held its place on April 23-24 in NY this year – had a Live Stream.
I’ve managed to watch some and some of them even recorded 🙂 However guys said that they will upload videos later in May – I’ve decided to share some with you now.
Load testing with BlazeMeter
Hi,
For a long time I was asking myself if there is a way to load test mobile apps and do it in a classic manner and approach:
- Scripts modeling
- Taking into consideration: bandwidth, connection, geo location etc
- Distributive tests creation
- Results analysis
- Results comparison
Voice From The Grave …
Too many rumours and whispers around QA these days, and this is the main reason why I am writing this article.
So there is new ‘trendy’ stuff around IT forums and blogs which is stating that QA is dying and that QA needs to change itself as a practice, and there are new ways of writing the code so that the code is nearly bug-free and (for some reason) developers are responsible for quality code.
I must stop here and to prevent you from further reading, and please let me explain why.
This topic will be not something you can fully relay on in discussion or the shining diamond of industry knowledge I rather expect to share some thoughts with you on the modern QA and the way it expands. The other reason why you can lose you interest now is that I am not a CTO or CEO of a wealthy IT company or a world-wide known PM with number of books written. I am a regular Quality Engineer from a 3rd world country and my views are based only on books which I trust and my own background along with some research. So if you’ve made it so far its now up to you to read it or not (I’ve made my best to prevent you).
A Word on Performance Testing Targets
Hello,
Today I’ve decided to share my experience in the area of Performance Planning and Testing. On some recent projects I used to be the QA on a team that has been asked to plan and run some Performance tests for a Web application. Continue reading
Proper ‘Defect report’ or ode to ‘Can pig ride’
Solid ‘Defect Reporting’ skill is mandatory for any Quality Assurance Engineer, since many of teams are working in a common environment with BA, DEV and Client teams – well and fully described bug – becomes crucial for an agile process and for the project flow.
Here is what I’ve been driven by while creating this “Thumb Rule” document, about 3 years ago I’ve found this ‘Can pig ride’ post and since I’ve never seen any better explanation on approach of creating a good bug report.
Please read it carefully and give it a thought, before we move to some examples.
